119. The Second World War: Why We Still Remember
Forum

How do you keep the past alive when those who lived it are nearly gone? Filmmaker Alex Bescoby, archaeologist John-Henry Phillips, and journalist Adam Hart have made it their mission to tell the stories of 2WW in ways that resonate today. From frontline graves to forgotten heroes, they’ll share the personal journeys and big questions that drive their work—and why, for their Millennial and Gen Z generations, remembrance is more vital than ever. The event will start with a very special introduction by Chalke favourite 102-year old veteran Colin Bell, who will emphasise the importance of keeping memories of the past alive for future generations.
