Michael Hughes is a writer and actor, whose earlier work includes the comedy Radio Moscow Roadshow, which had a sell-out run in the 2021 Edinburgh Fringe. His short comedy film, The Krayfish Twins featured in the 2023 Funny Life Film Festival. He wrote The Last Bantam after learning about them by accident. He says, ‘Being short myself, their motivations and experiences really resonated with me. Once I started researching them, I just had to tell their story.’
